The problem with click fraud

On average, 10–20% of Google Ads clicks are invalid — bots, competitors, click farms. Google's built-in filtering catches some of it, but not all. The rest drains your budget with zero chance of conversion. Standard click fraud tools only report the problem. We go further.

How Fraud Guard works

Because your site runs on our managed Hetzner infrastructure, we have direct access to server logs — something no third-party SaaS tool can match. This is what makes server-level fraud detection fundamentally more effective.

  1. Server log analysis

Every click that hits your site is logged at the server level — IP, user agent, referrer, behaviour. We analyse this data in real time.

  2. Invalid click detection

Suspicious IPs, bot signatures, abnormal click patterns and repeated hits from the same sources are flagged automatically.

  3. IP exclusion in Google Ads

Detected fraudulent IPs are added to your Google Ads IP exclusion list, preventing future charges from those sources.

  4. Firewall blocking

The worst offenders are blocked at the server firewall level via iptables — they never even reach your site.

  5. Monthly fraud reports

You receive a detailed report: how many invalid clicks were detected, which IPs were blocked, and estimated budget saved.

Why server infrastructure matters

Important: Fraud Guard requires your site to be hosted on our managed EU infrastructure. If you're not yet on our servers, we handle the migration as part of the setup.
